UPDATED RULES FOR ENSAT MEMBERSHIP

This document is a collaborative document aiming at updating the benefits, obligations and practical procedures associated with:

- ENSAT individual members

- ENSAT centers

 

ENSAT individual members

 

ENSAT members – Benefits

- Access to regular ENSAT communications.

- Access to annual ENSAT meetings and Working Group activities.

- Access to and opportunities for active participation in ENSAT Working Groups activities and member-dedicated area of the ENSAT website.

- Access to annual ENSAT publication awards, as well as ENSAT meeting oral and poster awards.

- Right for participation in electoral votes (active and passive).

- Opportunity to propose ENSAT collaborative studies.

- Networking in the perspective of future and ongoing collaborative studies and opportunities for grant applications.

 

ENSAT members - Obligations

- Belong to a specified ENSAT center.

- Agree to and ensure regular payment of annual membership fees.

- Familiarize with the ENSAT activities by consulting the website: www.ensat.org.

- Ensure active contribution to ENSAT activities as members, such as participation to ENSAT annual meetings.

- Agree to appropriate citation of ENSAT in publications as follows:

1) For official ENSAT collaborative studies (approved by Working Group Scientific Board) add "on behalf of the ENSAT” in the authorship or “an international, multicenter ENSAT study” in the title of the publication. When available, use the corresponding ENSAT project ID number.

Example: “S-GRAS score for prognostic classification of adrenocortical carcinoma: an international, multicenter ENSAT study”.

2) For all other studies, acknowledge ENSAT in the acknowledgement session.

This is important to increase and maintain visibility of ENSAT within the scientific community.

- Agree to appropriate citation of ENSAT in local grant applications when adequate (i.e. where collaborative studies are proposed or networking activities are key part of the projects).

 

ENSAT members - Practical procedures

To become an ENSAT member follow the instructions at the link: https://www.ensat.org/page-1184991

The ENSAT administrator will download the list of new applications weekly and submit it to the ENSAT Executive Committee for approval.

New members will be approved once the membership fee is paid. The ENSAT administrator will send reminders until the fees are paid (in case of wire transfer, the confirmation might take up to 2-4 weeks).

For Auxiliary members, the ENSAT administrator will ask confirmation to the corresponding Principal Investigators, pointing out that auxiliary membership is reserved for study nurses and technicians who only fill in the registry (i.e. is not a real membership and does not entitle to free-of charge participation in meetings). 

 

ENSAT members – CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

Patient advocacy groups, pharma companies, official stakeholders are welcome to join the ENSAT community as Corporate Members.

ENSAT centers

 

ENSAT centers - Benefits

- Provide a platform for the inclusion of new ENSAT individual members.

- Right to claim accreditation as European Centers of Excellence.

- Ability to participate to collaborative ENSAT studies.

- Access to the latest definition of ENSAT Data Elements and participation to the sharing of these elements (relevant for accreditation as European Centers of Excellence) – work in progress (will be available in the first part of 2025).

 

ENSAT centers – Obligations and Practical Procedures

- Submit application as ENSAT Centre by email request to the ENSAT Admin ("ENS@T Administrator" ensatweb@gmail.com) providing:

1)  the name and contacts of the Centre Representative (Principal Investigator) that will need to be a FULL ENSAT member.

2) the name and contacts for 3 supporting scientists or clinicians from different centers – that will need to be ENSAT members - ready to warrant the adrenal expertise of the center (if requested by the ENSAT Exco).

3) the contact of the legal representative liable for patient’s data (for both clinical and research centres).

- The request will be submitted to the ENSAT ExCo for approval.

- Once the request is approved, it will be submitted to ENSAT Registry Administrator (Anthony Stell) to provide ENSAT Centre IDs.

 

- There are no fees related to the application as new ENSAT Centre

- Ensure active contribution to ENSAT activities as Centre, such as participation to ENSAT meetings, activities and collaborative studies.
